Why Buffalo Leather?

• It resists cracking for water-loving dogs (Buffalo Leather has been used in shipbuilding for centuries. It has the ability to both release and retain moisture
• It isn't stretched in the tanning process, so it holds its shape really well
• It is naturally a more dense leather, making it strong and tear resistant
• It is sustainable (Buffalo Leather is a bi-product of the Buffalo Milk and Meat industry which is growing)
• It uses fewer chemicals (Georgie Paws' Tannery uses Vegetable based dyes)
  
• It will breakdown over 50 years (as opposed to other materials popular in dog products which will be in landfill for 1,000's of years).
