Rea of Hope for a Cure Foundation

Epilepsy, sometimes referred to as a seizure disorder, is a diverse group of neurological disorders of varying types and severities.

Erin Monast was inspired to create Rea of Hope for a Cure Foundation by her daughter, Reagan, who lives with intractable epilepsy. Rea of Hope believes that no family should face epilepsy alone. Their goal is to bring hope, connection, and meaningful support to those who need it most. The organization has been able to donate almost $90K to research and hundreds of books, toys, and resource guides to local families that are supporting a child with epilepsy.

It is estimated that one in twenty-six people will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime. Approximately 16,900 children in the state of Pennsylvania are living with epilepsy.

There is currently no cure for epilepsy.
